What is Rebar Stain?
Rebar stains occur in swimming pools when the rebar is not properly encapsulated with Gunite or Shotcrete. The lack of Gunite coverage over rebar and/or poor workmanship are common causes of rebar corrosion.

What happen if you leave the pool crack unrepaired?

• Unrepaired rebar spots make your pool look bad. Rust can accumulate on the pool surface.

• Severe Rebar spots can damage the pool structure if left untreated. Water will continue to degenerate the rebar and eventually spread throughout the steel structure, corroding and weakening the pool shell.

• When your pool shell is weakened it could lead to cracks and leaks throughout the pool.
